i have been testing out a few changes i've just been working on which alters how you can post.
the ability to choose the area for the post when you are posting.
you don't have to go to the area and start a new topic from there - you can choose where it goes when you post.. the ability to move a topic by editing the post and changing the subject area (topic starter only).. the ability to use a wysiwyg editor for making posts (if you have ie) and to enter html for formatting instead of the '[' & ']' characters (for non ie users).

this article from the lexington herald leader via the associated press further demonstrates the poopy pants currently being worn by the pompous asses at the watch tower.
my wife, bobsgirl aka tema smith bosken roared.
posted on sat, may.
Mulan - we tried to look at it this morning too. It's $30 per year, $3 per month...didn't see if you could just buy an article like you can with the Seattle Times archives. If you have a fax machine I think we know someone who could fax you a copy.

last night my sister-in-law asked my kids why they haven't been attending meetings.
she cornered them individually.
she asked my son and he said no he has not been attending meetings and that he has been doing some research and that he didn't believe it was the truth.
This is so sad, and unfortunately so typical. My youngest went to the KH with my MOL yesterday - hasn't been to a meeting for at least a year (memorial 2000 I think). Only a few older ones spoke with her..none of the young people, but they ignored her when she was a loyal, faithful unbaptized JW. One of the older ones who is usually very friendly with her (hubby still hangs with my hubby) told her she wouldn't be coming to her graduation celebration because there are so many from the KH having their own celebrations. Didn't think she would be that cold. My girl is sooo disappointed because she thought these people were different than the rest of them. As for family, haven't heard from my brother and his wife whether or not they will attend. Oh well - learn something new every day. My heart goes out to you lv4fer. It's hard to put up with that kind of pain.

i usually delete these type of emails, but thought it was an interesting analogy and i thought i'd share.... .
a young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her.
she did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up.
Andi - I have this on the side of my fridge. It's a wonderful analogy. Thanks for sharing!

some on this forum may remember the thread where i was gushing uncontrolably about my daughter graduating high school and receiving her aa from the local community college.
she will be attending gonzaga u. in the fall, btw.. anyway, just gushing a little more.
this friday is her 18th birthday, then she'll be graduating h.s.
Happy birthday TR's daughter! and kudos to proud papa. Is she going to participate in SFCC commencement? E-mail me - we'll be there with our daughter. Her birthday is just a few days before graduation. But no new car - your daughter is so lucky!!!

hello, everyone.. i somehow managed to endure a circuit assembly this past weekend.
the two positives that came out of it are:.
1) i can easily beat any test of endurance and.
Matty - I used to work in accounting at District Conventions. The donations on the last day afternoon session are usually the biggest. Those are the donations you don't hear about in announcements. But it's been a few years since I've been behind the scenes...haven't been to convention or circuit assembly for 4 or 5 years.

my husband and i are going to fly to florida tomorrow, may 10. we are going to visit venice_it and her folks again.
i can use her computer while we are there, but she will probably be on it too.
we can share .
I'm jealous! have a great time Mulan, Ven and her family are soooo much fun. Florida sounds really, really good to me this week. Had a snow storm Tuesday that dumped a foot of snow on us...freaky for May. Need warm, need sunshine, need mimosas with my brunch, and a hammock!
my son just turned 16, and i swear there are days when he worries me sick.
he's one of those quiet types that doesn't say too much, and tends to hang out in his room listening to his stereo or playing super mario on his n64.
when he's not doing that, he's aggravating his two little sisters.
Awesome Scully - that's what I call self sacrificing love.

i have heard that argument from the jw's since i was a child - i still hear it from my family.. now that i am out it seems like such a silly argument.
in fact, you could liken it to someone in an abusive marriage for years.
they're used to the situation and somewhat frightened at the thought of change.
Ditto joy2bfree and joelbear - Christ is who we go to, not an organization based on the application of conjectured interpretations of scripture. There is only one mediator between God and men, and it's not the WT.
this is mostly directed to others that were born/raised in the cult.
more specifically those raised in the cult who also suffered from severe depression and/or social anxiety disorder or any other mental illness (other than the normal probs that come with being in the borg).
sometimes i wonder if its just me that doesnt feel like a person now.
Flower, it is only by going out and experiencing life, doing things to help other people that you find yourself. You will have deeper, truer, more meaningful friendships outside the organization. And it is frightening to come from a place where you don't have an individual personality. Trust me, you do have something inside of you that is uniquely you...you will find it!
